Here is a Sims 3 Mini Challenge for ya. It is something I sometimes do in my game just to make it a little more interesting.
Whenever you have a sim that has aged up, it is always time to change their outfits right?
What I do is I keep ONE original clothing item the game put them into and build an outfit around that. Like in my photo above for example, I kept the shirt and changed the shoes and pants and added accessories. I do this for each outfit, like Formal, Swim ware etc. You can change the color and pattern of the original piece you keep to anything you want. I do this for the lifespan of the sim.
The only time I pick completely new outfits is when they age up from Young Adult to Adult. That’s mid-life crisis time after all.
This just makes it a little different while I am playing so I thought I would share :)
Wait until one of your sims ages up and is wearing bunny slippers and a hospital gown! hehehe
I know I am behind on this. Darn work getting in the way of tumblr and sims!
8.) First day of school as a child.
This challenge is for anyone playing two families in one town. It is about relinquishing control 50% of the time and dealing with the consequences of letting the game run one of your families half the time.
The rules are simple.
- You must have two families that you will be playing, in ONE town.
- It can be any town, in any house, with any type of family you want, even single sims
- You play Family A for one full game week, Monday to Monday and then switch to Family B at the end of the week, no matter what is happening with Family A.
- You must make an effort for these two families to interact, getting one member from each family to at least friend status.
- Anything that happened to the family while you were not playing them, you have to deal with, not ignore or try to change with cheats. For example, if you are playing Family A and move to Family B and they changed jobs, you have to deal with that. You can change them back but you will be at the beginning of their career so make sure they are happy before you leave them!
- You can play with any age setting and must have story progression on and free will set to high.
- If either family ever moves out of their house while you aren’t playing them, you can MOVE them back, because that is just annoying.
HARDCORE MODE:
These are rules to make it even more challenging.
- If a change happens to the family you are not playing with, you CANNOT change anything they did on their own. For example, if they changed careers, you cannot change their career back unless they roll a wish for it. If they had a baby while you were not playing them, you cannot change the baby’s traits. If they broke up, you cannot get them back together unless they roll a wish for it. etc etc. Basically deal with the choices they made on their own and no changing back unless they roll a wish for it.
