LOL, ikr! Is the world worth it pixies? I saw some other pics people posted and thought no…but your pics are making it decent.

I am going to answer this under the cut because I got a little wordy. For anyone looking for my mini review of Lunar Lakes, read moar!

I have not gotten a lot of time to play it yet but I went around to look at all the buildings and such and there are some really creative, futuristic homes. The water is really beautiful and I think the whole design is nicely done. The world is pretty big, I think maybe the biggest downloadable world short of Riverview.

The parks/rec areas are great. There are double story indoor/outdoor swimming pools and parks dedicated to each world, Sunset Valley, Twinbrook etc.

This place is a gardener’s paradise. There is produce growing everywhere you look.

I am a little disappointed that most of the rabbit holes, including the school are just “portals”. I was looking forward to an alien type diner but no, that is a portal. Most of the job rabbit holes are portals.

And of course, there are no aliens, which was silly imo but also makes me wonder…why not? EA must have a reason. I mean they put the effort into making A LOT of townies for Lunar Lakes. It has more townies than Appaloosa Plains, so why not a green or blue sim here and there. I get that the whole story is that they crashed here and there was nothing here, at all, but maybe they could have had another crashed ship too, with an alien or two right?

I have not gotten a chance to see what buy/build stuff there is and if there are any new outfits beyond the futuristic suits but as soon as I do, I will post screenies :)

I guess it is really up to you to decide if this world is worth it to you or not. I can see A LOT of creative uses for this world but I can also see people being disappointed with it for not having more of an “alien” type feel. Really it is just another regular world with an outer space type deco applied to it, when you come right down to it. That does not bother me at all and I think I will enjoy figuring out what to make out of it for my simmies but for someone else, it might not be enough for that. :)
